sati banat jivan lagai
सती बनत जीवन लगै, असती बनत न देर।
गिरत देर लागै कंहा, चढ़िवो कठिन सुमेर॥
पतिव्रता बनने में सारा जीवन लग जाता है, पर भ्रष्ट होने में देर नहीं लगती। सुमेरु पर्वत से गिरते हुए देर नहीं लगती पर उस पर चढ़ना कठिन है।
