balchandr aur shvet megh
बालचंद्र, तुम किसी मुलम्मा-चढ़े हँसिया-जैसे दिखाई देते हो
तुमने देवतरुओं को सागर की सतह पर गिरा दिया है
और, हाँ, मुझे भी!
श्वेत मेघो, मुझे संदेह है, कि तुम तृषा शांत करनेवाला शीतल हिम हो!
ओह, काश मैं तुम्हें अपने हलक़ के नीचे उतार पाता
और सीने में दहकती आग को बुझा पाता।
