सूरज ख़ूब लाल होता है
मगर एकदम लाल नहीं
उसके भीतर भी छिपी रहती है परछाईं
मुझे शक है सूरज की लालिमा पर
इसलिए रोज़ देखता हूँ सूरज का मुँह
और उसकी सच्चाई जानना चाहता हूँ
मगर सूरज भी बड़ा चालाक है
तोड़ देता है हिम्मत मेरी आँखों की
धमकी देता है जलाने की
अपने तेज़ से
मैं उस पर अभियोग भी नहीं चला सकता
क्योंकि वह ऊपर है
ख़ूब ऊपर
मेरे सिर के ऊपर…।
